Carpets
In the Armenian traditional culture carpet making occupies a special place. This craft has been popular in Armenia since the ancient times. This is evidenced by the "Pazyryk" carpet belonging to the 5th century BC and found in the Altai Mountains. It's painted with cochineal scale insects such as Vordan karmir.
